"Sometimes people are beautiful.
Not in looks.
Not in what they say.
Just in what they are.”
― Markus Zusak, I Am the Messenger

My heartfelt condolences to Jennifer and Jonelle, Joey and Zach, and Haley, Patty's brothers and sister and their spouses, nieces, nephews, and all who held her dear. Like you, I am going to miss her every day. I could not have asked for a better life-long friend.

I'm never good at this, but here goes. Patty, I'm doing this because I love you so much and I know you're reading every one of these condolences. I first met Patty, because my girl friend (soon to be my wife), said she could not go out with me unless Patty approved. What I didn't know was when I married my wife it meant it included Patty. Her voice and her laughter on the phone or in person was a constant sense of joy to me and Sandy. She became my best friend as she was to my wife. I saw a woman who gave love without limits to everyone she met and asked nothing in return. Well, she has both Sandy's and my love forever. My condolences to her family and my hope is that the knowledge that their grief is shared by so many brings them comfort. My love to you all

How do you say good-bye to someone you love so much just for being themselves. You can't so what I am saying is that I will never say good-bye to Pat. Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. She will always live in my heart and now that she has joined my daughter Jennifer in heaven, it gives me comfort to know that they are together. They may not have been mother & daughter in the physical sense, but the love they held for one another was more than was from God. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, loves leaves a memory no one can steal
